Clove Essential Oil

Therapeutic properties  :  Analgesic, antiseptic, antispasmodic, anti-neuralgic, carminative, anti-infectious, disinfectant, insecticide, stimulant, stomachic, uterine and tonic.

Description : Clove essential oil is warming to the body, and a pain reliever. It is mood uplifting, and helps reduce fatigue. In addition it improves mental clarity and memory. It is also considered to be an aphrodisiac.

Use : Use for acne, bruises, burns and cuts, keep infection at ba, help with toothache, mouth sores, rheumatism and arthritis, good for digestive system, effective against vomiting, diarrhea, flatulence, spasms and parasites, relieving respiratory problems, like bronchitis, asthma and tuberculosis.

Blend well with : Rose, Lavender, Vanilla, Clary Sage, Bergamot, Bay, Ylang Ylang, and Lavandin.

Direction:
Oil Burner: Add 4 drops of essential oil for a burning time of 20 minutes.
Massage: Dilute 3-5 drops of essential oil in 10 ml. of carrier oil.
Inhalation: Put 5 drops in 200 ml. of steamed water and inhale for 3-5 minutes.
Bath: Put 15 drops of essential oil  in the bath tub for a 20 minutes bath.

Precautions : Clove oil is a very potent oil and should be used with care. If it is used in a oil, lotion or cream applied to the skin, the concentration should be well below 1%. It may cause irritation to the skin of some individuals and can easily irritate the mucus membranes. It should  be avoided during pregnancy.
