Therapeutic properties  :  Antidepressant, antiphlogistic, antiseptic, aphrodisiac, astringent, cicatrisant, cytophylactic, deodorant, diuretic, febrifuge, fungicide, insecticide, sedative and tonic.

Description :  Patchouli essential oil is mood uplifting. It is known as a nerve stimulant and an aphrodisiac. It is also healing to the skin - it can help moisturize dry and cracked skin, regulate oily and blemish-prone skin, and overall keep skin looking healthy. Patchouli is considered a tonic, having an overall toning effect to help optimize metabolic function and strengthen the immune system. It stimulates blood circulation, digestion, and the elimination of toxins and excess water.

Use : Fight depression and anxiety, effective for fungal and bacterial infection and is of great help for insect bites, effective in fighting water retention and to break up cellulite, great deodorizing action, helps to stimulate the growth of new skin cells, effective in sorting out rough, cracked and overly dehydrated skin, treat acne, acne, eczema, sores, ulcers, any fungal infections.

Blend well with : Bergamot, Cedarwood, Clary Sage, Clove Bud, Geranium, Lavender, Neroli, Rose, Sandalwood, Vetiver, and Myrrh.

Direction:
Oil Burner: Add 4 drops of essential oil for a burning time of 20 minutes.
Massage: Dilute 3-5 drops of essential oil in 10 ml. of carrier oil.
Inhalation: Put 5 drops in 200 ml. of steamed water and inhale for 3-5 minutes.
Bath: Put 15 drops of essential oil  in the bath tub for a 20 minutes bath.

Precautions : It is non-toxic, non-irritant and non-sensitizing, but the smell of patchouli oil may be a little persistent for some people and large doses may cause loss of appetite in some individuals.
