Therapeutic properties  :  Analgesic, anti-spasmodic, antiseptic, antibiotic, anti-inflammatory, anti-infectious, anti-depressant, anti-neuralgic, antiphlogistic, antiseptic, antispasmodic, bactericidal, carminative, cholagogue, cicatrisant, emmenagogue, febrifuge, hepatic, sedative, nervine, digestive, tonic, sudorific, stomachic, vermifuge and vulnerary.

Description :  Roman Chamomile promotes an inner sense of peace and calming, reduces stress and anxiety, and promotes restful sleep. Can be supportive to healthy reproductive and digestive systems. Chamomile is anti-inflammatory and is often used as a balm for muscle soreness, spasm, and joint pain. Its anti-inflammatory properties also make it an excellent essential oil for skin care and minor wound treatment like soothing insect bites.

Use : Great effect on children when they feel irritable, impatient, teething or colicky, relieve PMS, good for abdominal pain, gall bladder problems, as well as for throat infections, helps to relieve allergies, hay fever and asthma, calm acne, eczema, rashes, wounds, dermatitis, dry and itchy skin and other allergic conditions in general.

Blend well with : Bergamot, Clary Sage, Lavender, Jasmine, Neroli, Geranium, and Rose.

Direction:
Oil Burner: Add 4 drops of essential oil for a burning time of 20 minutes.
Massage: Dilute 3-5 drops of essential oil in 10 ml. of carrier oil.
Inhalation: Put 5 drops in 200 ml. of steamed water and inhale for 3-5 minutes.
Bath: Put 15 drops of essential oil  in the bath tub for a 20 minutes bath.

Precautions : Chamomile oil are considered non-toxic and non-irritant, yet since they do have emmenagogue properties when used in high concentrations, they should be avoided during pregnancy.
