Aromatic Description  :  Lemony, grassy-citrus scent, slightly herbaceous.
Therapeutic properties  :  analgesic, anti-depressant, antimicrobial. antipyretic, antiseptic, astringent, bactericidal, carminative, deodorant, diuretic, febrifuge, fungicidal, galactagogue, insecticidal, nervine, nervous system sedative and tonic.

Description : Lemongrass is a good essential oil to use when emotionally or physically lethargic or when needing help focusing. It can help increase circulation and is naturally astringent, making it a good skin and muscle toner that can also help improve elasticity and reduce muscular pain. Lemongrass helps boost the immune system and can help fight fevers and infections. It is a deodorant that can be added to soaps, detergents, and air fresheners.

Use : Revitalizes the body, relieve the symptoms of jetlag, clear headach, help to combat nervous exhaustion and stress-related conditions, great overall tonic for the body, boost the parasympathetic nervous system, stimulate glandular secretions, helps prevent spreading of infectious diseases, help tone the muscles and tissue, relieve muscle pains, good to clear up oily skin.

Blend well with : Chamomile, Eucalyptus, Geranium, Lavender, Myrrh, Palmarosa, Patchouli, Petitgrain, Rosemary, citruses, and spices.

Direction:
Oil Burner: Add 4 drops of essential oil for a burning time of 20 minutes.
Massage: Dilute 3-5 drops of essential oil in 10 ml. of carrier oil.
Inhalation: Put 5 drops in 200 ml. of steamed water and inhale for 3-5 minutes.
Bath: Put 15 drops of essential oil  in the bath tub for a 20 minutes bath.

Precautions : Lemongrass oil can irritate a sensitive skin, so care should be taken. It should be avoided in pregnancy, due to it being a possible skin irritant.
